We have a constantly changing collection of all types of chairs, sofas, chaises longue etc. which have been regenerated to the highest spec by the team at couchi-couchi.

ORIEL OSTRICH is a beautiful, classic and very elegant antique English chair dating, we believe, from the end of the 19th century.

We have given it the “couchi” makeover in a slightly quirky way and we love the end result which would sit equally happy in a traditional or contemporary setting.

The frame is mahogany with a very fine boxwood inlay. It has had some (expert) restoration work done in places and has been completely French polished to bring it up to scratch. It is an antique though and has a few minor imperfections still. Don’t we all.

We have covered the inside of the chair in a plummy / purple-y coloured faux ostrich fabric and have wrapped around the outside with a contrasting faux leather in a paler shade (pinky / violet) which, in certain lights, is quite stunningly vibrant.
